This is where the corporate speak ends. I know how annoying it is to be charged for something that feels like it should be free - especially when the goal of this site is to try save people money. Unfortunately, this is a personally funded website, built entirely in my free time and I'd like to reduce the impact on my wallet as much as possible. Being 100% honest here as well, I would like to make profit from this at some point.
There's a saying: If you're not paying for the product, you are the product.
I made a deliberate choice to have you, not companies, and definitely not your personal data, be the product. If companies were the product, I might face pressure to remove or alter quotes and reviews they find unfavourable. In doing so, I can ensure the integrity and impartiality of the website remain intact.

This also doesn't include one time costs, such as a solicitor to write the privacy policy and terms & conditions which cost £1300, and a security test which cost £140.30. However, this is absolutely not meant as a sob story, I chose to do all of this. I believe in the idea of the site and want increased transparency around not just pricing, but anything money related.
